What is coaching?
Coaching is a structured conversation between the Coach and a Client. It is a process that is used to empower individuals and help them reach their goals.
During a coaching session, your coach will listen to you, ask questions, find out what your challenges are and inspire you to reach that end goal. You will be encouraged to make decisions and come up with an action plan and take responsibility for these.
What coaching is not.
Coaching is not about your coach giving you suggestions or advice. They are not mentoring or counselling you. You are more likely to take action if the passion and willingness to make a positive change in your life comes from within rather than being told what to do.
What are the benefits of coaching?
Coaches have the skills and knowledge to support and encourage their client.
They are there to:

- Ask questions that help you dig deep within to find the best solutions for you. The Coach trusts that you know yourself better that anyone one else does.

- Help you break your goal into smaller and manageable steps.
- Help you come up with an action plan and diarise when you will take these actions. As a result, you can achieve your goal quicker than you probably could if you worked on it on your own.
Who Hires a Coach?
People who hire a coach are inspired and have a vision. They embrace change and are prepared to get fully engaged in making positive changes in their life, their job, or their circumstances. Plus, they do not want it to take forever!
They may be at the top of their game and want to stay there or aspire to be at the top of their game and want to get there as fast as they can. They may also be feeling stuck and overwhelmed.
They want someone they can use as a sounding board and rely on to help them make the inevitable tough decisions that they can see on the horizon.
